"Barwil Georgia" LTD was established in 1996, handling vessels at the ports of Poti & Batumi, and forwarding cargoes into the Caucasus and Middle Asia. From very beginnings it has grown over the ensuing years such that today, it employs 200 personnel covering both the Georgian ports of Poti & Batumi, and operating sub offices in Tbilisi, Baku & Yerevan. 

The activities have expanded so that today it handles all aspects of vessel agency and husbandry for liner and non liner vessels in both ports. It has developed its own fully equipped container and warehousing facility close to Poti port complete with national road and rail access. At this site, containers are unstuffed and stuffed, cargo is received and stored and from this location both containerized, bulk and break-bulk are forwarded throughout the Caucasus and Middle Asia. Additionally, cargoes and containers are securely stored under customs seal. "Barwil Georgia" LTD continues to forwards bulk cargoes directly from shipside throughout the region and from all areas to shipside.

The ports of Poti and Batumi continue to grow in importance as the gateway to and from the TRACECA CORRIDOR which is the  modern reincarnation of the Ancient Silk Route. This corridor receives considerable outside interest and investment towards its development and Barwil Georgia is proud to be major user of the corridor passing its liner and non liner customers cargoes over it. Barwil Georgia employs expert personnel in the fields of: shipping agency, liner agent, custom zone, warehousing, custom container terminal, custom brokers, overland on carriage, crew changes, door to door delivery, export transportation.
